Camp Trade & Technology is supported by the Advanced Manufacturing Center of Excellence. MSC Southeast was invited to become a member of this organization this spring, which connects the colleges and universities of Minnesota State with industry partners across the state.
"We look forward to having high school kids on our campus who might be familiar with manufacturing, but have never had the opportunity to see or try the equipment first hand," says Jen Olson, Director of Continuing Education and Customized Training. "Thanks to our partnership with the Advanced Manufacturing Center of Excellence, high school students will now have this opportunity in a fun and safe learning environment."
"As a member of the Advanced Manufacturing Center of Excellence, we will be able to participate in a number of programs that provide education and outreach to middle and high school students, parents, and other key influencers at the schools," says MSC Southeast Interim President Larry Lundblad. "We want to encourage younger students to consider careers in manufacturing."
