What process do I need to complete to
receive my certificate, diploma or degree?
When and where are the graduation
Forms are available at the Reception Desk at
both campus locations. Online students should contact Holly Daley at the
Red Wing Campus email@example.com

Forms are due back to the Registrar’s Office by Friday, March 6.
Students must complete the Application for Graduation Form whether they
participate in the ceremony or not.
Southeast Technical College has one commencement
ceremony per year in May. Students who will be completing program requirements
Spring Semester 2015 (May 13) and Summer Session 2015 (August 7) should apply
at this time.
Students completing their requirements Fall
Semester 2015 (December 18) and want to attend the May 2015 ceremony should also
apply by the Friday, March 6 deadline.

students should report to the gymnasiums (Red Wing High School & WSU
Memorial Hall) for group photos by 5:45 p.m. Please be prompt.
Will a professional photographer be at
the graduation ceremony?
Yes, Lifetouch Photography will be taking
professional photos of students during the graduation ceremony. Information on purchasing photos will be
available at cap and gown pick up. The

How long does the graduation ceremony
The ceremony runs approximately an hour and a
half. All graduates and guests are
expected to remain seated for the entire program.

& gown, scholarships are available through the Red Wing Student
Senate. Submit a 200 word essay to email@example.com by April 15, 2015 addressing the follow questions:

- Winona Campus Student Senate will be paying
for the cost of the cap, gown and tassel. If you already have a black cap and
gown, you will need to pick up a tassel only.

Graduation invitations are available for you

Graduating with Honors?
Students who participate in the commencement
ceremony and who meet the eligibility requirements will receive a gold honor
cord which has been purchased by the Student Senate. Students should stop at the Registrar’s
Office after they pick up their cap and gown.
Honor status is given to students graduating
from a diploma, AAS or AS program and who have completed a minimum of 25
resident credits including credits from the last term before graduation. Students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 to 3.74
receive Honors designation. Students
with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 to 4.00 receive High Honors designation. Final honor status is determined after final
grades are received. Honor status will
appear on the student transcript at the time of official graduation.
Are certificates, diplomas, or degrees
presented at the graduation ceremony?
You will not receive your actual certificate,
diploma or degree at the commencement ceremony.
A cover will be given to you to place your document in after you receive
it in the mail. The document will be
mailed approximately 10 – 12 weeks after commencement when grades are finalized
and the graduation is confirmed from the Registrar’s Office.
