Dorothy Duran has been named the new president of Minnesota State College–Southeast Technical. Duran, who was announced at Wednesday's Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees meeting, will take over July 1 for retiring President Jim Johnson.

Dorothy Duran might not be taking over as the new Southeast Technical College leader until summer, but the president-elect received a warm welcome from the Winona community Thursday morning during her first visit in her new role. Winona Post: Duran chosen as new SE Tech president

The newly appointed president of Minnesota State College - Southeast Technical, Dr. Dorothy Duran, made her first public appearance as the next college president at the technical school's Winona campus last Thursday morning. Speaking to a sizable crowd that included the mayor and Duran's predecessor, Jim Johnson, Duran spoke about how she was humbled to be named Johnson's successor and spoke about where she hopes to take the college in the future.
"There is a lot of work ahead of us, and I welcome the opportunity to serve with you," Duran said, addressing the lecture hall. Read the full story >>
