Increase or decrease text/font size in your browser

  • Click on the Tools menu.
  • Select Preferences from the drop-down menu.
  • In the Preferences window, click on the Web pages tab.
  • From the Page Zoom drop-down menu, select the percent magnification you would prefer for all webpages. This will magnify all elements in a browser window, including text and images.

Zoom in or out of your screen

Note: In most browsers, the keyboard shortcut for zooming in is “Ctrl”+“+”. The shortcut for zooming out is “Ctrl”+“-”. You can reset the screen magnification to 100% by using the keyboard shortcut “Ctrl”+“0”.

  • Click on the View menu.
  • Select Zoom from the drop-down menu.
  • From the fly-out menu, select the percent magnification you would like for your browser window.

To permanently set the browser window magnification:

  • Click on the Tools menu.
  • Select Preferences from the drop-down menu.
  • In the Preferences window, click on the Web pages tab.
  • From the Page Zoom drop-down menu, select the percent magnification you would prefer for all webpages.

Change text and background colors

  • Click on Tools in the menu bar.
  • Select Preferences from the drop-down menu. 
  • Click on the Web pages tab.
  • Change the text color by clicking on the button next to Normal Font.
  • In the Select Font window, you can select the color you prefer for text. Return to the Web pages tab and select the background color, normal link color, and visited link color.
