International Students
International Students are welcome to apply to Minnesota State College-Southeast Technical. We are excited by the prospect of you attending our college.
The following information will help you in the application process.
- Follow the standard application process.
- Take the TOEFL test and have the results forwarded to Southeast Technical.
Although acceptance is based on a TOEFL score of 500 on the paper version, or 173 on the computer version or 61 on the Internet-based, programs may require a greater or lesser degree
of English proficiency. Therefore, factors such as previous schooling
will be taken into account. If you can document English proficiency
(i.e. English is the native language of their country, transcripts showing
extensive English studies) you may be allowed entrance via an exception
status.
- Show adequate financial resources to complete the program without
assistance from the college. Therefore, applicants should complete an
I-134, Affidavit of Support. It may be obtained by going to http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/files/i-134.pdf.
The INS may want to see this upon entry.
- Submit a M-1 or F-1 (only for AAS Degree Programs) visa prior to
registration for any course. at least two months prior to the first
day of classes.
- Purchase health insurance. The cost of this insurance will be added
to your tuition costs and billed to you.
