Foundation Scholarships

The Foundation’s Scholarship Program is designed to increase access and affordability to higher education.  Through the Scholarship Program, the Foundation awarded over $137,000 in financial support during academic year 2008-2009.  Our scholarship applications are reviewed by members of the Foundation’s Scholarship Committee, which is comprised of community volunteers that dedicate themselves to reviewing over 200 applications annually.  Applications are reviewed on the basis of professional goals, financial need, accomplishments, grade point averages, college choice, and letters of recommendation.  We have two scholarship application deadlines to give students plenty of opportunity to apply for a scholarship.  Students complete a general scholarship application and the scholarship committee matches each applicant to its appropriate scholarship.  Scholarships are awarded from the 22 endowed scholarships, one-time named scholarships, and unrestricted funds.
