
If I applied for the last scholarship competition, do I need to reapply again?
Yes, you need to submit a new application with updated transcripts for each new competition.
What transcripts do I need to submit?
You need to submit the transcript from the institution you most recently attended.
What if I have a GED?
If you have obtained a GED certificate and have not attended any other college or university, you must submit a copy of your GED certificate.
What is an official transcript?
An official transcript is stamped and signed from your institution registrar’s or high school office and delivered to you or sent to the Foundation office in a sealed envelope. Transcripts printed directly by the student are not accepted.
How do I get my transcript?
You must request your transcript from your registrar’s or high school office at the college or school you need the transcript from. Include this sealed envelope along with the rest of your application, or you can have your transcript mailed directly to the Foundation office.
If I am a current Southeast Tech student do I still need to submit an official transcript?
Yes. Please request this information from the registrar’s office 2 weeks in advance.
Is there a charge to receive your transcripts?
There is no charge for current Southeast Tech students. Other institutions may charge a nominal fee.
Do I really need two recommendations?
Yes, and it is important you give adequate time in requesting these recommendations. The person writing your recommendation will want time to write and prepare this, so request these well in advance. Once you receive your recommendations, please include them in your application.
Do I have to apply for financial aid to apply for a scholarship?
No.
What if my scholarship application is missing information?
It is your responsibility to make sure your scholarship application is complete. Any missing documentation will result in disqualification.
Where do I turn in my scholarship application?
Scholarship applications need to be turned into the Foundation office at the Tandeski Center on the Winona Campus. Or, you can mail your scholarship application to:

When will award decisions be made?
You will receive notification of the committee’s decision mailed to the address provided on your application.
When will scholarship funds be dispersed?
Scholarships funds will be deposited into your student account shortly after the semester begins.
