City Music and Education Center in Crestwood, MO is seeking both a woodwind and brass technician AND a string technician! We are encouraging skilled veterans as well as recent graduates to apply (degree not required as long as experience is there). We're looking for someone who is positive and motivated, with good communication skills to both customers and staff. The position requires both ability and attitude to service rental, customer, and school-owned instruments. Must past bench test and interview. Compensation and hours will be based on experience and productivity. City Music, formerly Mel Bay Music Center of Kirkwood, has been serving the St. Louis area as a privately-owned family-friendly business for over 50 years. We're located about 20 minutes south of the city. We have a full service repair department, one of the largest selections of sheet music in St. Louis, over 10 studio rooms for private lessons, a recording studio, and we buy, sell, and rent instruments and musical equipment. Our staff is experienced and knowledgeable, and we service many school districts in our area. Our repair department is fully equipped with all the tools and materials a repair-person would need, and we have one of the few ultrasonic cleaning tanks in the St. Louis area. We are looking to expand our repair department and YOU CAN HELP! In addition to being one of the most affordable major cities to live in, St. Louis also has a free art museum, free history museum, free zoo (rated among the top 5 in the US every year!), great BBQ, and a bustling music scene. Though it was always a destination for big artists, recent years have seen more and more big names flock to our many, many concert venues. Home to many of the great blues and jazz artists, such as Chuck Berry, Miles Davis, and Clark Terry.
