EMERGE VISTA is now accepting Member applications!
The AmeriCorps VISTA program offers members a modest living allowance in exchange for a year of volunteer service at participating host sites. All positions in the Emerge VISTA program will start with a pre-service orientation training on July 30, 2013 and will serve full-time (40 hours per week) through Aug 2, 2014. What is AmeriCorps VISTA?
AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America) is a year-long volunteer opportunity where you can work to help build the capacity of a local organization to carry out programs that fight poverty by recruiting and managing community volunteers, raising funds, and helping to manage projects. VISTAs also expand job opportunities, develop financial assets, reduce homelessness, reduce unemployment, increase housing opportunities, and reduce recidivism for those living in rural and urban areas of poverty across America.

EMERGE VISTA, in collaboration with several partner organizations, is looking for motivated and innovative individuals with an interest in advocating for Minnesota’s ex-offender population. EMERGE * VISTA members will play an integral part in helping clients as they re-enter their community by providing capacity and support to our programs.
