Driver Training Program Overview

The goal of the Driver Training Program, offered by Minnesota State College - Southeast Technical, is to successfully provide students with the skills, knowledge, motivation and insight needed to become responsible and safe drivers.

Southeast Technical's Driver Training program consists of:

• 30 hours classroom instruction
• 4 hours of simulation training on the Doron simulator
• 5 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction

Our course will provide students with basic driving information, enhanced by simulation training, to assist all students in becoming responsible and safe drivers.

Simulation Training

Simulation training provides students the opportunity to experience driving conditions that include:

• Driving defensively
• Effects of drug and alcohol
• Unforeseen weather and road conditions

Other driver training courses available:

• Motorcycle
• Senior Driving
• Custom Designed Driver Training programs
