Student Rights

  1. Receive sufficient information to understand financial aid policies and procedures.
  2. Apply for and receive fair and equitable consideration for financial aid based on eligibility and availability of funds.
  3. Discuss eligibility with a financial aid staff member.
  4. Request consideration for unique or extenuating financial circumstances.
  5. Appeal decisions regarding eligibility including suspension.
  6. Request information regarding his/her loan indebtedness and repayment options.

Student Responsibilities

  1. Read and respond to all information from the Financial Aid Office in a timely manner.
  2. Be informed about application processes and eligibility requirements and apply annually by published deadlines.
  3. Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress as defined by the Financial Aid Office.
  4. Consult with the Financial Aid Office before changing enrollment.
  5. Drop classes by submitting a 'drop slip' to the Records Office.
  6. Inform the Financial Aid Office and/or bookstore of receipt of any third party scholarships.
