Recommended Computer Specifications

Looking to buy a new computer for school? The following are the current recommendations for specifications when purchasing a new computer. A new computer should meet the minimum ("Good") requirements. You may choose to upgrade some of these aspects (such as memory or hard drive space), based on your personal needs.

Online students should review the D2L Hardware and Sofware Requirements as well.

Note: While some students prefer Apple computers, there are may be compatibility issues with these systems and some instructional software. The following are provided for those who prefer to buy a Mac computer.
