The Southeast Technical Foundation is happy to announce its 3rd Annual Golf Tournament and Dinner.  Thanks to the many generous sponsors and contributors to last year’s golf tournament, the Southeast Technical College Foundation raised over $10,000 to provide scholarships to Southeast Technical College students.  In total, the Foundation awarded over $135,000 in scholarship support to 133 qualified and deserving students in academic year 2007-2008.

The Community Connections Dinner following the golf tournament will include both a silent auction and live auction with Dick Houghton as the auctioneer.  Gary Iocco will be the event’s Emcee.  Among other things, the live auction will include a golf getaway for 2 to Arizona and original artwork.  The silent auction will have many great items including hand-blown glass and a boat ride with the President of Southeast Technical College.

Whether you are able to attend or not, you can purchase a raffle ticket for a trip to Historic Boston.  Proceeds from the raffle will also support the Southeast Tech Foundation Scholarship Program.  The winner of the raffle drawing will receive 2-$300 air vouchers, 2-nights lodging at the Boston Marriott Long Wharf, and 6-tickets for 3 games (2 seats per game) at Historic Fenway Park to see the Boston Red Sox take on the New York Yankees.  If you don’t plan on coming to either the dinner or golf tournament you can call Katie at 507-453-2783 or Kathy at 651-385-6364 to purchase a ticket.

The all-volunteer golf committee has been working year round to make this year’s event even more successful than last year’s tournament. The golf committee co-chairs are Dean Massett and Phil McNairy.  Other members of the Golf Committee include Kathy Holthe, Bruce Geary, Dan Mjolsness, Tom Schooley, Deanna Voth, Tracey Kirchner, Judy Christianson, and Judy Graff.
