Position:	Professional Nanny/Family Child Care Instructor- Red Wing Unclassified MSCF-TC
Salary:	Based on education and experience
Appointment:	Part-time Temporary - 50%
Start Date :	August 2008

Responsibilities:

Activities related to technical college teaching and learning including but not limited to:

Instructional planning, teaching and learning
Instructional facilitation
Afternoon Instruction
Assessment of student performance
Student recruitment, retention and advising
Lab/classroom climate management
Interpersonal relations, effective team member skills
Maintenance of professional skills and credential

Qualifications:

Meets the minimum qualifications for accreditation as required
Effective presentation, organization and interpersonal skills
Ability to operate a computer in a Windows environment
Experience with child care and child care settings

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or above in family life, elementary education, child psychology, early childhood education, child development or professional nanny
Extensive experience with family child care
Experience planning and preparing contracts/work agreements
Familiarity with business operations of family child care settings (i.e. taxes, insurance, licensure, etc.)
