Band Instrument Repair Program - Expenses

All students, regardless of state/country of origin, pay resident/in-state tuition for the BIR program.

Tuition for the Band Instrument Repair Program in the 2007-2008 academic year is $160.91 per credit. Tuition for 2008-2009 will likely increase.

This rate does not include school and program fees. For more specific information, refer to theTuition & Fees page on the Minnesota State College Southeast Technical web site.

36 credits of technical courses and 6 credits of general education credits are required to complete the Diploma in Band Instrument Repair. You may be able to transfer in general education credits from another college or test out of some general education courses.

Tools and Materials
The cost of required tools, books, supplies and lab fees will range between $1500 and $2000.

In addition to all of the above, students need to be prepared to cover their room, board and transportation expenses in order to attend the program.
