New Criminal Justice A.S. Degree Offered

Minnesota State College Southeast Technical announces a new Associate in Science degree program in Criminal Justice for fall semester 2009. The comprehensive program is designed to cover the fundamental preparation and coursework needed for a successful career in the criminal justice system.  Areas of emphasis include: Probation, Corrections and Criminal Justice Generalist.

A team of accomplished professionals with combined experience of over 125 years in various leadership areas of the field will be instructing in the program. Their expertise applies both theory and work experiences within the profession along with their familiarity with current employment opportunities and career paths.

Students will learn the historical development of the current correctional system, policies and interrelationships in our diverse society. The program is designed to provide a full complement of Liberal Arts and Science courses as well, transferrable to any Minnesota State College or University.  A direct program pathway has been developed to continue the major and articulate into a Criminal Justice Bachelor of Arts Degree Program at Metro State University, Twin Cities.
