The Lake City Winter Fest Polar Plunge is scheduled for Sunday, January 31st 2:00 – 5:00 pm.  Last year we had a great team from Southeast Tech who plunged into the frigid waters.  Want to join the fun? Interested “Plungers” are invited to join Team SouthICE technical. Each team member is asked to go online and pre-register at www.lcbetterfutures.org/winterfest.html

Each participant also needs to fill out the waiver and pledge form that will be collected at the registration tent at Ohuta Park the day of the event.  The Park is located on Chestnut Street, and can be accessed by turning onto either Park St or Chestnut St from Hwy 61/Lakeshore Drive.

Are you not up to jumping into the frigid waters of Lake Pepin on Sunday?  Pledge with a  team member by stopping in the Information Technology office in Winona or the Receptionist’s desk in Red Wing. Cheerleaders and well-wishers are welcome. Proceeds from this event will be  directed to the Lake City Nursing Home and the Lake City Food Shelf.  Check out last year’s plunge on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMheFHIQphQ.
