How does it work? All you have to do is log in and sign up. Southeast Text messages are sent to your phone when college is closed or all classes are cancelled due to severe weather. The Southeast Text messages may also include other important Student Services announcements.
What is the confirmation process? Once you complete the form, a text message will be sent to your phone with a short code. When you receive it, enter the code into the form to confirm your sign up.
Why is there a confirmation process? The confirmation process is designed to prevent someone from signing you up for text messages without your permission.
Are there any fees for this service? Signing up for the service is free, however standard text messages rates may apply, depending on your wireless carrier and service plan.
How many text messages will I receive? Alerts will vary depending on Severe Weather and important Student Service announcements.
When will texts be sent? For weather cancellations or closures, text messages will be sent when the cancellation is decided. Ideally, cancellations and closures decisions will be made by midnight.
Student services texts will be on a as needed basis.
