Business Professionals of America (BPA)

Southeast Technical Student Organizations - BPABusiness Professional of America (BPA) is for any student who is currently enrolled in a business, office or accounting course or program in a secondary or post-secondary college. Southeast Technical has chapters on both its Red Wing and Winona campuses.

Business Professionals of America prepares students for the business workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic, and technological skills. By integrating its programs into the business classroom, BPA builds leadership, professionalism, poise, dependability, patriotism and competency into business students.

Involvement as an active BPA member will be one of the most rewarding aspects of any business education program. Through this involvement lasting relationships will be developed with community business circles and members will be given exposure to potential new employers. Opportunities for having fun, visiting new exciting places, experiencing new activities and growing both personally and professionally is what Business Professionals of America is all about.

Student Senate

We represent the students with two separate senates with their own slate of officers. One senate is located in Red Wing and the other in Winona. Our senates represent the students of their respective campuses when working with the college administration, faculty and staff. Senators are active in representing their students before governing bodies, the community and with their representative association, Minnesota State College Student Association (MSCSA). As senators, we are fundamental in the promotion of student activities.

Students are welcome to get involved with their senate. The election process and governance structure varies from campus to campus because of the autonomy of the individual senates. Students who are not official representatives of their students are welcome to sit in on the meetings. Students interested in being involved with either of the senates are encouraged to contact one of the individuals identified below. We look forward to being an exciting part of your educational experience.
