These are unprecedented and challenging times. We know you find yourselves handling issues you may have never imagined. We want to assure you that we are here to support you in your mission of education.
To this end, the federal government has provided additional resources to help you continue your education. The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act was signed into law to distribute roughly $14 billion in funds to institutions of higher education. These funds are to help college students whose lives have been interrupted, many of whom are facing financial challenges. The CARES Act requires institutions to provide emergency financial aid grants to students following Department of Education and Minnesota State guidance.
Minnesota State College Southeast, in adhering to the federal guidelines, has posted this PDF documenting specific actions we have taking in disbursing CARES Act funds. Please see this PDF to understand the methodology we have used to disburse these funds.
