Summary:
Under supervision, performs both the collection and processing of customer cash receipts into the Accounts Receivable system and/or the disbursement of funds to vendors in the Accounts Payable system and all other aspects of the two functions within the Finance department.

Responsibilities:
• Numerically account for all invoices generated each day and mail invoices timely. For Accounts Payable, account for all invoices to be paid and execute payment at the direction of Finance Management
• Check and verify records for accuracy
• Prepare invoices and/or vouchers
• Post customer cash receipts into the Accounts Receivable system; Post vendor invoices into the Accounts Payable system
• Ensure all liabilities are properly records at month end
• Post journal entries as required
• Code data for financial data processing system
• Reconcile daily activities
• File paid invoices and maintain Accounts Payable files
• Assist in maintaining customer contact regularly to ensure timely collection and a current aging
• For Accounts Receivables, assist in coordinating the resolution of invoice collection issues with Program Management; For Accounts Payables, work with vendors to a limited extent and Benchmark purchasing personnel to resolve any outstanding issues or payment schedules
• Answer both internal and external basic inquiries/references related to processing function
• Assist with the reconciliation of the sub-ledger to the General Ledger at month-end
• Perform basic analysis of data for submission to supervision
• May be assigned projects of moderate complexity to resolve
• Prepare non-routine reports for review by management

We process for niche-meat branded programs, including processing and retail ready packaging ready for shipment or export, while sticking to our roots of processing individual animals for the local farmers. Summary/Objective
The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

 

Essential Functions

  • Perform repairs, preventive maintenance and component replacement on food process equipment and systems.
  • Adjust and repair components according to manufacturer specifications and quality standards. 
  • Inspect and tests equipment to verify proper operation, make adjustments as needed to assure error-free operations.
  • Document all parts used for preventive maintenance and repair to ensure proper inventory of parts are always available for operational readiness.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, and any other applicable documentation to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Recognize abnormally operating equipment and use troubleshooting skills to diagnose, analyze and repair mechanical, electrical, electronic equipment issues.
  • Ability to identify cost-effect solutions to decrease repeated equipment deficiencies (root cause analysis).
  • Monitor work site to assure that all work zones and equipment are in safe operation. 
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

 

Qualifications/skills:

  • Operating knowledge of electronics systems
  • Excellent trouble shooting skills
  • Experienced with vacuum, pneumatics, electrical and conveyance systems
  • Excellent use of shop tools
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems

 

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration and 40 to 90 degree temperatures.  The noise level in the work environment can be loud. 

 

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and understand instructions.  Possess good eye-hand coordination and dexterity.  This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and climbing frequently. The use of hands and arms constantly for pinching, simple gripping, grasping, and push/pull with hands, operate a vibrating tool frequently.  Reach above shoulder occasionally.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move items 60 to 100 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are 9:00 am-5:30 pm, Monday through Friday with scheduled weekend work as needed.

 

Preferred Education and Experience
Formal maintenance training and/or 2 years maintenance experience in a production manufacturing setting. Food processing facility preferred.  Familiar with general food safety practices, including GMPs, HACCP and SQF system.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

 

We seek an experienced Maintenance Mechanic who has a passion to build and develop their skills, learn about power generation from renewable fuels, and be part of a collaborative, committed, and growing team. This person will provide Engine maintenance, testing, and repairs at our biogas fueled electric power plant in Le Sueur, MN.  We are offering the right candidate a unique opportunity to be part of a growing business and to make a significant contribution in the evolving energy industry.  We believe better is possible and it is our people who make a difference!   

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position would be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance.  This entails the following:

·         Conducting routine inspections of equipment and premises.

·         Performing preventive maintenance on engine generators and plant equipment.

·         Testing and adjusting equipment.

·         Repairing machines, pumps, valves and other equipment and/or structures as necessary.

·         Work with operations to schedule maintenance outages.

·         Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

·         Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.

·         Comply with OSHA safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

 

Qualifications

·         4 years’ experience in an industrial setting.

·         Industrial mechanic skills (diesel or engine mechanic) with electrical knowledge   

·         Adept at troubleshooting and problem solving.

·         Knowledge of basic mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

·         Computer savvy.

·         Ability to learn and understand the process and functionality of the plant Ability to use both hand and power tools.

·         Ability to lift 40lbs plus, stooping, bending, twisting and climbing ladders.

·         Willing to work evening and weekend shifts.

Compensation includes a competitive base salary and an opportunity to earn an annual bonus.
