We are looking for a full time band instrument repair technician to join our awesome Nick Rail Music team! Responsibilities include woodwind, brass, and some percussion repair. Repair techs needed in multiple locations.

Repair techs will be required to provide their own hand tools. All large tooling, other supplies, parts, etc. will be provided, including access to an Ultra Sonic machine.

Must be able to work under pressure and with firm deadlines.

MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE or certificate of completion from accredited repair program.

Compensation based on experience.

Luthier Skills and Qualifications:
Applicant should be experienced with using their set of personal hand tools and knives, and know how to maintain and sharpen them. Applicant should be able to perform duties such as new violin setup, fitting bridges, soundpost fitting and adjustment, open seams and crack repair, fitting and adjusting pegs, fingerboard and nut work, and other repairs or adjustments for violin, viola, cello and bass. Experience or formal education as a violin luthier preferred.
 
Additional Job Duties:
Maintaining paper and computer-based logs and records, interacting with customers in person, by telephone, and through electronic communication, maintaining a clean shop, and additional duties including retail sales, and interactions with other staff members and teachers as needed.

We service approximately 34 public schools, Cornell University, Ithaca College, a full rental program, and professional and amateur customers from all over the country. Buford, Ga is just northeast of Atlanta which offers entertainment such as college and pro sports, great dining, cultural arts, and a great quality of living.
