Position Overview (Major Functions and Non-Essential Functions):
The Biomedical Electronics Technician (BMET) is responsible to provide a safe environment for all health team members, all visitors, and patients by maintaining, repairing and inspecting patient care equipment. He/she is responsible and held accountable to document and record equipment service histories and significant events.
Certified BMET’s are expected to adhere to ICC standards and practices.
Will be required to work in a functioning health care setting.
Will work on shared service duties at multiple locations as assigned.
Works in a variety of settings under various conditions.
Complies with departmental policies and procedures, including general and radiation safety, and infection control and prevention.
