Designs by Bethany is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Architectural Drafter to join our team on a part-time contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate, current student, or entry-level professional looking to gain real-world experience in residential design and construction documentation.

Position Details

About the Role

The Architectural Drafter will support the development of residential design and construction documents from conceptual design through permit-ready drawing sets. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical drafting skills, attention to detail, and a desire to grow within the residential design industry.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop accurate 2D floor plans and construction drawings using AutoCAD.
• Produce building sections, elevations, and construction details.
• Create and maintain drawing schedules, including door, window, finish, and fixture schedules.
• Assist in preparing permit and construction documentation packages.
• Coordinate revisions and updates throughout the design process.
• Review plans for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
• Collaborate with the designer to translate design concepts into technical drawings.
• Maintain organized project files and drawing standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD required.
• Understanding of residential construction methods and building systems.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of drafting standards, dimensioning, and construction documentation practices.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

Desired Skills (Not Required)

• Experience with 3D modeling and rendering software (SketchUp, Revit, Chief Architect, Lumion, Enscape, Twinmotion, or similar).
• Ability to create photorealistic renderings and presentation graphics.
• Familiarity with residential design and custom home projects.
• Understanding of building codes and permit documentation requirements.

Education & Experience

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Interior Design, Drafting Technology, or related field preferred.
• Current students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Entry-level candidates with strong AutoCAD skills will be considered.

Deposit Operations Specialist

Merchants Bank, Winona, has an opening for a Deposit Operations Specialist. The hours for this position will generally be Monday through Friday between 8am – 5pm.

Duties include a wide variety of tasks and projects in the deposit operations area including working with unposted items, exceptions, stop payments, ACH processing, processing fraud disputes, balancing GL’s, and working with tax forms and IRA statements. Also will work with customer maintenance and research and provide excellent customer service to both our external and internal customers.

2-5 years of banking experience required. Associate’s degree in business or related field preferred. Must have excellent communication and customer service skills and a calm, friendly, and helpful demeanor. Strong attention to detail, problem solving and organizational skills required.

Operations Specialist

Merchants Bank, Winona, has an opening for an Operations Specialist. Primary responsibilities will be to assist our Merchants Bank Equipment Finance Company with accounting, lease, and audit operations.

This position will include a mix of daily responsibilities including posting cash receipts, monthly invoicing, preparing pay-off calculations and closing out paid contracts, managing ACH activity, preparing, and monthly audit reports. Will also include working with UCC filing and insurance maintenance. This position will interact with customers and lease partners.

An associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, or business administration with a strong background in finance/accounting/operations or equivalent work experience. Previous work experience in the leasing and finance industry is a plus. Must be able to multi-task, be organized and have excellent communication skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs.
