Catholic Charities of Southern Minnesota is looking for a full-time Guardian/Conservator Program Director.  In this program, Catholic Charities serves as the court-appointed guardian/conservator to manage the personal and/or financial affairs of adults who can no longer do this for themselves.  The Director manages program staff, provides direct services to clients and families, as necessary, and monitors the program’s procedures, policies, and effectiveness.  The Director also markets the program, and builds and nurtures relationships with referral sources.

This position is located in the County Office Building in the Assessor's Department. The successful candidate is responsible for administration of special property tax programs.

Winona County is accepting applications until 4:00 p.m. September 28, 2020. 

This position starts at $18.00/hour (DOQ) with advancement up to $23.64/hour.

Characteristics of Class:
Under general supervision an employee at this level is characterized by responsibility for a fairly complex and important function, or subject matter within a department. A good knowledge of general office methods and equipment and of the functions and procedures of the department are essential. Skill in communicating with others are often important in positions in this class. Typing may involve technical terminology or the ability to design and layout reports, but the level of related responsibility is the governing factor in allocation to this level. An employee in this classification must have sufficient knowledge to be the primary reference source on the assigned subject and the ability to analyze and resolve a variety of work problems.

Supervisory Control:
There is considerable opportunity for independent judgment and decision-making that have the effect of finality in most cases. Legacies, LLC has an opening for an HR and Scheduling Intern in our Winona office. Qualified candidates will need to be detail oriented, have excellent time management skills, have great communication skills, and possess a working knowledge of office software such as email, Word, Excel, Office 365, and scheduling software. Past office experience not required, but is preferred.  

Legacies, LLC. provides Independent Living Skills to people with mental illness and developmental disabilities in the community and in the home through 1:1 services. We employ quality staff to work with children after school and some weekends, and also to work with adults throughout the week. 

Work will be completed between 8:30am-4:30pm Monday through Friday.  The times and amount of hours are flexible based on the selected candidate’s availability.  The candidate must be available to work at least 20 hours per week.

This position starts at $21.43/hour (DOQ) with advancement up to $28.54/hour. The work schedule for the job of Dispatcher requires shift work throughout a 24-hour period. These shifts are 12 hours in length and include days, nights, weekends and holidays. Dispatcher positions may float between the day and night shift. Shifts are assigned based on seniority.

Characteristics of Class:
Under general supervision, an employee in this class performs skilled technical communications work, receiving and transmitting information, dispatching public safety units as required. Performs related work as required. Employees are required to make independent decisions in the dispatch of public safety personnel and equipment in response to calls for service. Activity is tracked in a real-time mode through use of a computer-aided dispatch system. Work is performed in a communications center.

Examples of Duties:

* Answers incoming calls (radio and telephone) and walk-in clients. Ascertains nature of situation and its location. Dispatches, via radio and telephone, all necessary personnel and equipment.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The Inventory Technician, under general supervision, receives incoming shipments, prepares outgoing shipments, escalates shipping concerns, and maintains an accurate, organized materials inventory. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·         Receives incoming material, checks items received against packing slip to ensure shipment is accurate and free of damage and enters receipts into the business systems

·         Communicates with supply chain coordinator and project manager on any material shortages/overages/damages on deliveries

·         Delivers incoming shipments of materials to proper destination along with appropriate labeling and paperwork

·         Works with the Supply Chain Coordinator to maintain inventory accuracy and supports specific duties during their absence

·           Responsible for maintaining an organized materials stockroom with an accurate inventory system

·           Packages and prepares equipment, materials and parts for domestic and international shipping

·           Assists supply chain coordinator with shipping paperwork as needed

·           Delivers and picks up materials locally in a straight truck or cargo van

·           Works the time necessary to meet the needs of the Customer and the business

BASIC QUALIFCATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license is required

  • At least 1 year of previous experience with shipping/receiving/material handling
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical
