Violin Making at Southeast

Students in the Violin Repair program have the option to take a two-semester class in violin making. Previous years' graduates sometime return to the college for this class as well.

Over the course of an academic year, the students will make a violin, apply finish, and set it up with bridge, tailpiece and strings. 

The highlight of the year is hearing these new instruments played on stage at the annual Student Violin Showcase, which usually takes place on the last day of Spring semester.
