About Us

About Us

Whether you are a recent high school grad or a working adult seeking to upgrade your skills or to change careers - you are important to us. We pride ourselves in being a friendly, student-centered college. We have experienced significant growth over the last ten years, yet our average student-to-faculty ratio is in the 18:1 range. This allows for a more personal and interactive educational experience. Our faculty and staff will get to know you by name.

Our mission, “Education for Employment,” reflects our rich history of providing excellence in technical training and the liberal arts.  You can select from over 90 programs in six major fields: business and office; health and human services; liberal arts and sciences; musical instrument repair and building; sales and management; and technical, trade, and industrial.  Job placement rates for our graduates have averaged over 94% over the last five years.

Southeast Technical delivers applied learning with personal attention from faculty and staff. Our signature programs draw students from across the state of Minnesota and beyond.

We have campuses in Red Wing and Winona, set sixty miles apart along the Mississippi River. The two campuses have distinctive characteristics but are one college in structure, policies, procedures, and mission. Both campuses offer small class sizes, state-of-the-art facilities, and an environment that is friendly and supportive.
