Southeast Offering Training for AI, Nonprofits and Recruitment and Retention this Fall

Red Wing, MN (Sept. 10, 2026) – Workforce Education at Minnesota State College Southeast is teaming up with Workforce Development, Inc., to offer two new courses this fall, aimed at helping local businesses and organizations succeed amid changing technological advances. 

This October, the college will offer two different training series. 

“AI Skills for Today’s Workplace” is a three-part training series that will offer attendees practical AI skills, time-saving prompts and techniques, greater confidence on how to use AI responsibly, and strategies to increase productivity and efficiency. The course will meet Thursdays from 8 to 10 a.m. Oct. 1, 8 & 15. 

A “Nonprofit Workforce Development Series” will be offered in four installments on Tuesdays, October 6 through 27 from 9 to 11 a.m. The series will offer best practices in strategic planning, fundraising, operational excellence, and AI to build capacity and increase productivity. 

Each series costs $149 per person.  

“Our goal at Southeast is to provide relevant training that supports the workforce needs of our region,” said Katie Hardyman, Director of Workforce Education, Red Wing. “These training opportunities are being offered for the first time this fall. Each directly addresses some of the current challenges that employers and community partners are encountering, especially as AI disrupts our workplace dynamics.”
