Job Description: Concrete Finisher Northland Concrete & Masonry (NCM) is a leading commercial concrete and masonry contractor specializing in complex commercial, industrial, institutional, and large-scale construction projects throughout the region. We are currently seeking experienced Finishers to join our team. As a union contractor, NCM is committed to skilled craftsmanship, quality work, safety, and building long-term careers in the construction industry.
What You’ll Do:
• Finish and smooth freshly placed concrete using hand and power tools
• Set and maintain proper grades, elevations, slopes, and surfaces
• Perform edging, jointing, floating, troweling, and other finishing techniques
• Operate concrete finishing equipment, including power trowels
• Read and interpret drawings, elevations, and specifications
• Assist with concrete placement, forming, and related activities as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Work closely with foremen, laborers, and other members of the crew to meet project schedules and quality standards
What We’re Looking For:
• Previous experience as a Concrete Finisher in commercial construction
• Strong knowledge of concrete finishing techniques and equipment
• Ability to read construction drawings and understand grades/elevations
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job
• Union membership or eligibility to join the appropriate trade union
